Our Farm

Treating animals and nature respectfully goes without saying on our farm. Experiencing life on the farm directly, either when milking the cows, feeding the animals or harvesting hay.
How does milk become butter, yogurt or curd? Where does the hen lay her egg? We will show you! A certificate shows that our farm has existed at least since 1716 and has without exception always been in possession of the Wilhelmer/Gruber family.

History of the Farm

Right until the 50s, grain for the purpose of supplying man and beast was planted on our fields in the valley. Under strenuous circumstances, our ancestors mowed alpine meadows located up to 2000 meters high, which served as food for the animals in winter and then they transported it down to the valley with the help of horn sledges.
Nowadays, our farm is run as a second income establishment focusing on grassland with three suckler cows, calves, a donkey, goats and chicken. Many delicacies, such as milk, butter, yogurt, curd, self-made bread, eggs from happy hens, herbal juices and jam are made on our farm with great passion and they enrich our guests’ breakfast table.
